After so many recordings, versions, celebrations and adaptations, I have to say that this is the one I most excited about. I've been waiting for this for so long and now it's here! The very first trailer of Les Misérables!!! Whoohoo!!!
Les Miserables boasts of a stellar cast led by Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen, Aaron Tveit, and Samantha Barks.
What did you think of the trailer? Argh! I can't help but wish it's already Christmas! Did I say it'll be shown Christmas? Hahaha!
Anyways, here's a brief description of Les Miserables for those who have no clue what I'm gushing about tee hee... :o)
And the updates just keep on coming don't it? After American Idol, I guess we can now pay attention to the other exciting things happening like the release of huge blockbuster films and this is on top of the list. And so, here's the latest on The Dark Knight Rises!
In this version of the TV spot and photos, the viewers are given a glimpse at some as yet unrevealed aspects of the Christopher Nolan film and one of its most important characters. The third The Dark Knight Rises TVspot is the best one so far. The “Rise” theme is prominent throughout it.
The Dark Knight Rises‘ plot synopsis: “Details about the film’s storyline are scarce, but it has already been established that one of villains set to take on the Batman (Christian Bale) will be the powerhouse known as Bane (Tom Hardy). Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway), better known to comics fans as Catwoman, will also have a central role in the movie.”
The Dark Knight Rises‘ cast includes Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Christian Bale, Marion Cotillard, Michael Caine, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Stewart, Daniel Sunjata, Burn Gorman, Diego Klattenhoff, Josh Pence, Matthew Modine, Tom Conti, Joey King, Alon Aboutboul,Nestor Carbonell, Brett Cullen, and Juno Temple.
The Dark Knight Rises opens in US theaters through Warner Bros. Pictures on July 20, 2012.
Whoohoo! Finally, photos of the new Les Misérables movie are available. I cannot express my excitement enough most especially that this film brings together two of my most favorite actors.
Just last October, I shared news that Anne Hathaway was to join the cast.
Cameron Mackintosh confirms ANNE HATHAWAY to join Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe in star-studded LES MISERABLES film!!!
The photos show the cast all in character and I have to say that this will be a great film. Judging from how each character was cast, I cannot complain and know that the roles will be well played compared to the earlier adaptations.
Les Miserables boasts of a stellar cast led by Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen, Aaron Tveit, and Samantha Barks.
Amanda expresses: “I pinch myself every time I am on set doing this movie. Once it is on celluloid, it will be a highlight of my career,”while talking to USA Today about filming the role of Cosette.
This is going to be a great Christmas! The movie will be released December 14! Let's go!
David Beckham is simply unstoppable. Whether he be playing in high profile games or attending private functions, his name magically makes its way to interesting new things.
The world is now talking about this and it truly is noteworthy as it is "publishing history" as Backham becomes the first solo male cover star to appear on Elle Magazine.
The effort is very much worth every single dime as the cover turned out so well. Check it out!
Check out the newly released six production stills from Columbia Pictures' upcoming action thriller “Django Unchained,” the latest masterwork from Oscar-winning filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.
Due to open in the Philippines early next year, “Django Unchained” stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Samuel L. Jackson, Christoph Waltz and Kerry Washington.
Set in the American South two years before the Civil War, the film revolves around Django (Foxx), a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Waltz). Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles – dead or alive.
“American Idol” finalist Jessica Sanchez put her amazing voice on a different national stage this weekend, performing an outstanding national anthem for the Memorial Day Concert in Washington, D.C.
The show was later cut short due to severe weather, unfortunately, but Sanchez was able to deliver her rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” in front of the U.S. Capitol building but she did a fantastic job.
Oh, and where is Phillip Philips again? Hahaha!
Oh well, in case you haven't seen it, here's the video. Toink! :o)

It's been a while since I've seen a tv commercial that got me watching from start to finish, especially one that's 2:43 long. But this wins it all. Fantastic set, beautiful interior design, gorgeous sheets, a beautiful man and the music! Wow! I love the way they used Mina's "Magnificat" and how romantic it sounds as it serves as the cradle of the plot.
As described in the video:
"After a difficult day, Paolo rushed from the American offices in Torino, climbing up the hills to Montgenevre just over the French border. Phone dead, car stopping and starting, navigating road construction, he was going to be late for their anniversary dinner at their Palazzo."
See for yourself!
Sigh... What a beautiful sight to come home to.
Gotye has truly crossed over to various genres. From World, to Pop, Television (Glee, American Idol) and now Broadway!
In this new version, Ghost cast led by Mark Evans is seen shirtless for the duration of the whole video and he has the right to. What a gorgeous figure plus a jawline and lips to die for.
Watch the video and find out for yourself! Toink! :o)

The new album showcasing the extraordinary young Venezuelan conductor has entered this week’s Swedish pop chart at #3 – ahead of the new album from the world’s top-selling female recording artist of all time: Madonna. Adding yet another remarkable achievement to a groundbreaking career.
“This week’s most spectacular entry is Discoveries. As #3 Gustavo Dudamel reaches one of the highest rankings in Swedish history for a classical album … A chart entry so high only The Three Tenors might have achieved better.”
Discoveries is Grammy® award winner Gustavo Dudamel’s first “Best of” album, featuring favorites from Beethoven to Bernstein and including several tracks never before released on CD. The Berlin Philharmonic, the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, and the Vienna Philharmonic are among the great world orchestras on the album.
Serving as Music Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, the impact of Dudamel’s musical leadership is felt on three continents.

It's not just a random mutant spider bite that sets Hollywood's new Peter Parker on the superhero career track.
From the trailers of "The Amazing Spider-Man" (and the six-minute extended footage now playing with “Men In Black 3”) it's clear that something dark and deep is at the heart of Peter's fateful encounter with that spider. He may even be a Spider-Man of destiny.
The footage offers glimpses of the orphan boy's natural father (Campbell Scott), a man shrouded in a mystery that Peter (Andrew Garfield) needs to unravel as a youth.
Garfield, co-star Emma Stone and director Marc Webb would not divulge details, but they did acknowledge that a personal quest puts Peter on a collision course with the spider whose bite imparts superpowers.
"I love the idea of destiny having a hand in Peter Parker's fortune, and not just being a slip and a fall," Garfield said in an interview. "I love the idea of him being meant to assume this symbol."

If you are a follower of my blog, I am most certain you find most of my postings movie, fashion, music or gossip related. There is however a side of me, the real me to be exact who is very much in love with classical music. My roots are classical, opera and jazz as a matter of fact. My respect for these forms of music has never and will never change and I dare say that there is no way that I as a person of principle will ever compromise my faith in music's true form and nature... That any art expression in order for it to gain credibility, must always have a strong foundation which is learning the rudiments of music and understand classical music. Whether you be a pop, hip-hop or rock music lover, one can only call oneself an expert, if you have the basic knowledge of where everything began.
And so, here's to the beginning of my "rewind" to classical music and sharing my best discoveries where I hope that at some point, will influence people to pick up a classical or jazz record and educate oneself with the true forms of music.
So, to start of, I've chosen to share my most favorite tenor, Peter Seiffert and his album "Singt Opernarien".
MANILA, May 28 – Alien-hunting black-suited secret agents have invaded the top of the box office.
Columbia Pictures' sci-fi action comedy “Men In Black 3” starring Will Smith opened at No. 1 in the Philippines, amassing a nationwide gross of an out-of-this-world P68.73-million for the five-day opening weekend May 23-27 frame. This was announced today by Victor R. Cabrera, managing director of Columbia Pictures Philippines.
“Men In Black 3's” first weekend haul in the Philippines is the second best opening of 2012 for a foreign movie, behind only “Marvel’s The Avengers” and beating the bows of “Wrath of the Titans” (P62.5-million), “The Hunger Games” (P62.3- million) and “Battleship” (P46.3-million).
In the U.S., the sequel which reunited Smith with co-star Tommy Lee Jones and director Barry Sonnenfeld, effectively wrestled away the box-office crown from “Marvel's The Avengers” which has dominated the North American tills for the past weeks. "Men in Black 3" debuted as the No. 1 movie over the Memorial Day holiday weekend with $55 million. Distributor Sony estimates that by the end of the four-day holiday weekend Monday, "Men in Black 3" will have pulled in $202 million worldwide.
Hollywood’s famed Sunset Strip, 1987. Rockers wail and heads bang inside the packed and pulsating walls of a rock ‘n’ roll institution, The Bourbon Room. Heart strings are plucked and electric guitar sparks fly to the beat of some of the greatest hits of the `80s…the “Rock of Ages.”
The Broadway hit now goes from stage to screen with Warner Bros.' epic musical “Rock of Ages” under the direction of Adam Shankman (“Hairspray”). Shankman, who grew up in Los Angeles, felt right at home in the setting. “My dad was a music business manager, and his office was on the Strip,” he says. “I knew a lot of artists. I was choreographing music videos in 1987 and it was a world that I really understood and loved, so turning back that clock was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.”
At the core of the film is a boy-meets-girl love story woven into classic, only-in-Hollywood dreams of fame. Shankman’s sister and producing partner, Jennifer Gibgot, elaborates, “Like so many people in L.A., the young lovers in ‘Rock of Ages’ have come here hoping to make it big and thinking it’s going to be easy. But it turns out to be a lot harder to stay on the path, to keep believing in the thing that led them there in the first place.”
Hi guys!! I'm back with ModelSpotting and this time, I have to admit I still can't take me eyes of this model. Antonio Valentino, his eyes are extremely rare one can't help but be frozen it's almost like staring into Jacob Black's eyes as a wolf! So striking and of course, his awkwardly huge physique makes him one of those chunky models that look breathtaking.
Anyways, here's what he has to say for himself as published on Model Mayhem. Toink!
I've been modeling since I was 8 years old. I also write music as well as singing professionally on the side of what I really do. (Serve my country & community). I must say I'am very ambitous, Hard-working, dedicated, determined and focused!! My biggest aspiration is to always keep reaching to the top keeping God first in everything that I do! I'am Dominican and Trinidian, part Italian. I look forward to working with Incredible Photographers and other models. I'm just about open-minded to anything that comes my way. Iam always looking forward to working with new photographers, models, designers and MUAs. For those that I have had the pleasure of working with; THANK YOU, I appreciate the time and effort each of you have invested in me, as brief or long as it may have been, I am forever indebted to you. For those that I have yet to work with, I truly look forward to meeting and working with you!

Well, it seems the remakes will never stop coming. This 2012, another classics gets a modern treatment! Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet was remade already in back in 1997 wherein I, a Shakespeare fan got so confused and disoriented. Baz Luhrmann is a great film maker and I am a fan of Moulin Rouge, but he did not win me with Romeo & Juliet.
Oh well, here's the latest on the said new version. Lemme know what you think! Toink! :o)
The Hailee Steinfeld, Douglas Booth Romeo and Juliet (2012) movie photos, movie poster are from a Carlo Carlei film. One of the photos show Hailee Steinfeld and Douglas Booth gazing into each others’ eyes. The other Romeo and Juliet pictures also feature Paul Giamatti, Christian Cooke, and Ed Westwick.
The hilarious The Twilight Saga, Romeo and Juliet connection:
A publicist told reporters in Cannes that “This is ‘Romeo and Juliet’ for the Twilight Generation,” and I promptly lost all interest. Comparing one of the greatest works of the most accomplished writer in the English language to Stephenie Meyer’s linguistic, narrative, and thematic abomination does not inspire confidence.
After the debut of the “Rain” banners last week, Warner Bros. now shares three character banners for Christopher Nolan's “The Dark Knight Rises.”
The banners again individually feature Batman, Catwoman and Bane in what the studio calls “Snow” series.
Leading an all-star international cast, Oscar® winner Christian Bale again plays the dual role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, as Selina Kyle; Tom Hardy, as Bane; Oscar® winner Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate; and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as John Blake.
Returning to the main cast, Oscar® winner Michael Caine plays Alfred; Gary Oldman is Commissioner Gordon; and Oscar® winner Morgan Freeman reprises the role of Lucius Fox.
The screenplay is written by Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan, story by Christopher Nolan & David S. Goyer.
“The Dark Knight Rises” is a presentation of Warner Bros. Pictures, in association with Legendary Pictures. Slated for release beginning July 19, 2012, the film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

The Twilight Saga has truly gotten its fans hanging at the edge of their seats in Breaking Dawn - Part 1. Not only was it frustrating to not see the continuation, it was even more frustrating to wait for so long. I guess we can say the long wait is almost over.
In Breaking Dawn - Part 2, after the birth of Renesmee, the Cullens gather other vampire clans in order to protect the child from a false allegation that puts the family in front of the Volturi.
We will also finally see Bella's full transformation into a vampire and witness her put her strength to the test against Jane and the rest of the Volturi.
Bill Condon‘s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Peter Facinelli, Dakota Fanning, Kellan Lutz, Maggie Grace, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Mackenzie Foy, Michael Sheen, Elizabeth Reaser, Jackson Rathbone, Jamie Campbell Bower, and Joe Anderson.

While writing this I could really concentrate. Having to try and complete the story and looking at Robert Pattinson's photos... I just end up with a few seconds of dead silence and realize I've gotten list in those beautiful blue eyes. "Sigh"... is all I can say... Just a really long and deep.... "Sigh..."
Oh well, on with this update! Argh!!! Robert showed up his close up at the Cosmopolis photo call for the 2012 Cannes Film Festival held at Palais des Festivals on Friday (May 25) in Cannes, France.
At 26 years old, the actor has reached his prime when it comes to looks and has gotten over the awkward stage. He is now simply an effortlessly drop dead gorgeous God (in a Ferragamo suit) walking down the red carpet, dozens of photographers swarming and even his co-stars couldn't help but wrap their arms around him.
Robert has truly become one, if not THE hottest actor in the world!
He was joined at the photo call by co-stars Paul Giamatti, Sarah Gadon, Emily Hampshire, and director David Cronenberg.
When asked a Twilight related question, David stepped in and said that Robert is a “real person with a history and a past. The history and the past is not Twilight. It is Cosmopolis.”
Cosmopolis will be premiering at the festival later in the day.
Our girl Jessica Sanchez made an appearance on Extra at The Grove on Thursday (May 24) in Los Angeles.
The 16-year-old vocal princess and American Idol runner-up world sensation chatted with host Mario Lopez about her journey on the show.
Right after the show, Jessica sat down with Rolling Stone and told the mag she was not surprised at all that Phillip Phillips won.
Jessica says: “Not at all – he has such a big fanbase. We both do. We both thank our fans so much. But he’s a real “artist” artist. He always sounds like him. He sang so many different songs and always sounded like himself. I’m so proud of him, and I’m glad it was him,”
Jessica has nothing to fear actually. Producers are already lining up and rushing to be part of her debut album. Singers all over the world are all excited to collaborate with her and countries are all now bidding to bring her over for concerts.
Phillip may have won the title but Jessica won the world and the world of entertainment. She earned respect and recognition and that no matter what becomes of Jessica's career, the world witnessed one of the best, if not the best Idol finalist ever!
Here are some pics of Jessica Sanchez appearing on Extra…
Batman fans look here! Warner has again released the latest movie banners and set photos which will make your mouth water for the film's release.
Anne Hathaway looks stunning as Catwoman and the costumes looks enticing. Fashionably correct and a tad unrealistic but still kick ass. I guess that's the thing with this batch of heroes. They aren't really mutants so all their heroic characteristics are placed on the costume and they still appear "human" underneath all the outfits. Makes one miss watching X-Men and other hero oriented shows.
The 4 The Dark Knight Rises banners, photos showcase a large scale confrontation between the police forces of Gotham City and Bane (Tom Hardy)’s legions from the 2012 Christopher Nolan directed film. The Dark Knight Rises photos mostly feature Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) and Batman (Christian Bale).

Jim Parsons must have inspired Queen Latifah. Just early this week, the Big Bang Theory star came out as being a homosexual man and now, after years of keeping her sexual identity behind closed doors, Queen Latifah admitted the LGBT people are her ‘peeps’ during a show at the 2012 Long Beach Pride.
Queen Latifah‘s latest show must have been quite liberating for her. At the 2012 Long Beach Pride event in California last weekend, the 42-year-old award-winning singer, rapper and actress officially came out as gay.
“Y’all my peeps (people),” she said, referring to the LGBT community. “I love you!”
The Queen performed to a crowd of about 1,000 people for more than an hour, telling them to “keep your support system tight” and also warning about keeping safe from STDs.
“Thank you to all my favorite peep guests who came out to support me. I appreciate it. I love you so much. Hope you had a beautiful time,” she said. “Y’all be safe whatever y’all get into tonight. Boys –- strap it up. Ladies –- strap it up.”
We applaud the Queen with her decision to come out. Are you surprised by her announcement?

Entertainment Weekly US says: JESSICA SANCHEZ's "ULTIMATE IDOL MOMENT" w/ Jennifer Holiday won the competition!!!
After a two-hour finale chock full o' lasers, sparkly catsuits, and fresh faces from the '70s, it was time for a very special seven-minute results show that brutally overlapped with the season finale of ABC's Revenge. Victoria Grayson vs. J. Lo in a jewel-toned gown-off: Who wins?
Phillip Phillips! The 21-year-old singer-songwriter-sufferer from Leesburg, Georgia is your season 11 American Idol winner. Try not to freak out. It's really okay. This is a televised popularity contest and the "White Guy With Guitar" happened to get more votes than Jessica Sanchez. It doesn't mean American Idol is racist. It doesn't mean that Phillip won solely due to his extremely alluring chest hair. These finalists were wildly different. Each had strengths and weaknesses, and both deserved to win.
This season, more than ever, it seemed like so many viewers deluded themselves into assuming that the support of one of these kids implied hatred of the other. Are you kidding me? It's a reality show! They'll both get to make records! They've both gotta have it, Ryan! Ugh, sorry, it's just a bizarre sentiment that's run rampant across the internet for the past few weeks AND I AM TELLING YOU I find it utterly ridiculous.
If American Idol fans can't find a way to be happy for an aw-shucks guy who was so overcome with emotion that he couldn't even finish his coronation song, even for a split second, I don't know why they put themselves through the torture of even watching this mess. No one's ever going to figure out a way to get inside America's collective ear and tweak it so that their favorite is the favorite. People like who they like. That's what's great about music. There's more than enough to go around.

JESSICA SANCHEZ's duet w/ original Dreamgirl Jennifer Holiday! BEST MOMENT OF THE FINALE! See the video!!!
There is no denying that tonight's American Idol Grand Finale "BEST IDOL MOMENT" belonged to Jessica Sanchez.
It was simple staging. No dancers, no smoke machine, no complicated lighting... Just voices. And what voices they were! Jennifer Holiday is not easy to sing with for she has a strong and powerful instrument that could eat up anyone beside her. But Jessica sang at par and impressed it left our office quiet and no one was moving nor blinking. We thought we saw Jessica at her best, but tonight she proved that she was even better.
No matter what the results were, singers and musicians who know who should win will agree that Jessica Sanchez was so much more deserving to be called a "singer".
Maybe she's probably in the wrong competition even for Idol is obviously more of a popularity contest than singing. And those who've been winning for the past years have been men with cute faces.
Well, watch the video and see for yourself. Thank God this is documented and will forever be here. JESSICA SANCHEZ is one of the best Idols ever!!!
After so many months and over 130 million votes, American Idol Season 11 has crowned their latest idol... PHILLIP PHILIPS!
The show was obviously rigged to Philips favor. All the production number of the other finalists were pimped with smoke machines, dancers, choirs and stars. And Jessica Sanchez's solos were bare.
Thank God for the outstanding duet with Jennifer Holiday, Jessica ends Idol with a strong impression on who the real singer is among the two of them.
The general observation is that no mixed race should even try for Idol. It is for Americans and Americans alone. How sad...
But no matter what happens, Jessica Sanchez is loved by the world and is a real star. She has the voice and she can out sing Phillips anywhere.
At the same time, Jessica is the one supported by other international artists like Akon and Sony head Tomy Mottola.
Lastly, maybe it is a blessing. She may be 2nd, but she is going the same path as Daughtry, Jennifer Hudson, Adam Lambert and Katherine McPhee. Phillips has the title, but Jessica will have the career.
Maybe soon, we will see Phillip Philips in an Ayala Mall show hahaha! And Jessica singing alongside huge artists around the world.
For those who didn't catch the show, here's the program for the night.
